Enterprise Console: information on version 4 installers
There are two versions of the Enterprise Console 4 installer currently available. These are designed to be used under different circumstances and they behave slightly differently.
- Installer version 4.0.1 is designed for a straight installation of Enterprise Console, and when installation completes it will automatically launch the Console for the first time. This allows you to straight away configure your console and system as required.
- Installer version 4.0.2 is designed specifically for use by customers who want to upgrade from Enterprise Console version 3.x to version 4.5. The upgrade from v3.x to v4.5 has to be performed via version 4.0.x of the console. The scenario is as follows:
- Run the 4.0.2 installer. This installs Enterprise Console but does not launch it on completion of the installation. This puts your system in the correct state for the next stage of the upgrade.
- Now run the Enterprise Console 4 to 4.5 installer.
